Core drilling: a technique using drills to extract cylindrical samples from concrete or rock.

Core drilling is a testing technique that uses professional drilling rigs to drill holes in hard materials such as concrete and rock, and extract cylindrical core samples.
Principle: Utilizing the rotational cutting force of a diamond drill bit to form holes of uniform diameter in the target material while simultaneously retrieving complete core samples.
Applications:
Building inspection: Evaluating concrete strength and internal defects (such as honeycombing and pitting);
Geological exploration: Obtaining rock formation samples for structural analysis;
Road engineering: Detecting the compactness of pavement bases.
Features: Intuitive operation, real samples, high accuracy of test results, and classified as non-destructive testing (only requiring repair of the drilled holes).
Process: Positioning → Fixing the drilling rig → Uniform drilling → Extracting core samples → Marking, packaging, and sending for inspection.
Equipment: Mainly includes concrete core drills, diamond drill bits, etc., with drill diameters adjustable according to testing needs (common diameters: φ70-φ100mm).
