4K | Berlin Wall today (33 years after the fall)

The Berlin Wall was the barrier between the socialist German Democratic Republic and the liberal-democratic Federal Republic of German. It served to terminate the migration within the city and isolate the exclave West Berlin amidst Eastern Germany. The Berlin Wall was errected in 1961 and the 9th November 1989 marked the end of the Wall.
In 2022, 33 years later, the Wall is still present in a substantial part of the city. While some parts of the former German-German border remain untouched and neglected, many sections of the Wall have been converted into an array of cherry trees that form a fantastic cherry blossom during springtime.
