Mercedes-Benz Actros - How to remove / install the clutch travel sensor

If the clutch travel sensor malfunctions, a breakdown vehicle will be needed.
The display on the instrument cluster indicates the fault.
Check the fault with Star Diagnosis.
Start quick test.
The control unit of the gear control system has a fault.
Open the menu and check the fault code.
The fault code is current.
The clutch travel sensor thus has to be replaced with a new one.
The sensor package includes an O-ring and special grease.
The defective sensor is only accessible from below.
Open the cover and disconnect the connectors.
Remove the upper screw from the sensor.
Note: When screwing it back in later, do not apply any pressure to the sensor.
Remove the screw on the bottom.
Simply pull out the sensor.
Attach O-ring to new sensor and coat with special grease.
Install the component.
Connect all connections and attach the paneling.
Teach in the clutch with a minor teach-in process.

Finally, erase the fault memory.
