Guru Ji Vandana Rajan is a traditional Folk Art artist, who got inspired by Rajasthani jewellery and the walls of heritage forts of Rajasthan. She developed her inspiration and acquired this artform from her own experience over the ages.

About Artist Guruji's art journey has commenced at the age of 12 from her homefront and after that never looked back. She pursued her graduation and post-graduation from Benaras Hindu University- One of the topmost university in India. Guruji Vandana has been creating beautiful paintings since 25 years and has done marvellous work in inspiring young generation by taking intensive classes and workshops. She is also been exhibiting her various art forms and paintings through many exhibitions.
Guruji Vandana Rajan has created this " VR01 - Learn Meenakari Painting - Beginner Course" for everyone who is above 12 yrs of age. The learner could learn this creative but yet traditional artform at their own pace. The entire course is framed especially keeping the budding artist in mind who can learn and acquire this basic skill. The entire course teaches the learner how to draw motifs (like Lotus, Peacock and Leaves), relief work (usage of the cone) and basic colour combination.

"Meenakari Painting" - The word Mina refers to the azure colour of heaven. Meenakari is an Indian name that was given to this art for Enameling, a versatile exquisite, art medium. Meenakari is a Persian art of colouring the surface of metals by fusing brilliant colours? This art is been introduced in Rajasthan by Raja Mansingh of Amer to create designs on the back of traditional Polki jewellery. He bought Persian craftsmen from Lahore to Rajasthan back in the 16th century and gave the art a touch of Indian flavour and explicit look, the craft flourished under Mughal patronage. As time passed, Jaipur became the hub for Meenakari and has its own distinctive way of the Champleve enamelling style, defined by its deep red colour. Meenakari is just not confined to the jewellery itself, it links to various products like bowls, vases, spoons, figures of deities, wall pieces and many more.
