ATF Change 2017-2019 Honda Ridgeline or Pilot

In this video I cover my method to preform an ATF change on a G2 Honda Ridgeline with the 6 speed auto. This is likely a solid method for both the Honda Ridgeline and Pilot from 2017, 2018, and 2019 years equipped with the 6 speed automatic.

The 6 speed automatic transmission needs regular fluid changes and I recommend doing them 2-3 times more often than the maintenance minder will tell you to keep it performing well and shifting smoothy. This is especially important if you tow anything.

The most difficult part about this job is to get the fluid at the proper level as the transmission has a small variance between low and full. My process solves this as long as you start with the proper level to begin with. Once you get it at the proper level all fluid changes after that should be super easy using my method.

If you do not know the history of the vehicle or maybe having transmission issues doing the ATF change three times with 100-500 mile intervals will change the majority of the old fluid and often help the transmission perform better.
