Philippines begins shipping back mislabelled waste to Canada

The Philippines has begun shipping back over a thousand tonnes of mislabelled waste to Canada. The issue first arose in 2013, when Canada shipped over more than 100 containers falsely labelled as containing recyclable plastics. The containers were actually filled with garbage. Some of the trash has since been disposed of, but 69 rubbish-filled containers remain in the Philippines.
