China has spent a great sum of money installing surveillance cameras all over her territory, developing facial recognition technology.
China tells its citizens that such measure is for public safety.

But alas anyone who has visited XinJian region where minority race Uyghur, mostly Muslim lives will say that China's reeducation program for that region and so many surveillance cameras are used as a means to run a totalitarian police state.
