World War One Thornycroft J Type lorry on the first trip out.

Steve purchased this lorry nearly 30 years ago and gathering parts and the restoration has taken a very long time indeed. We were hoping to get it ready for the centenary of the wars end. This was its first public appearance, a 40 mile round trip to the Haslebury Mill military vehicle show. It performed without trouble, although the fan did occasionally touch the radiator creating a tinging sound. It was well received at the show and it was a great day out.
