The Al Pascua Project

Al Pascua is an American band leader, keyboardist, vocalist and composer for “The Al Pascua Project”: a progressive, improvisational jazz fusion band that performs an electrifying mix of Funk, Jazz and R&B instrumentals and vocals to an exhilarating multi- ethnic and multi- generational audience.

This genre-defying album incorporates musical influences of R&B and gospel, with powerful elements of jazz and funk. The exuberant opening title track “41 Kick’n” immediately introduces audiences to a foot tapping breath taking journey of jazz keyboard mastery. On the next track, the upbeat mood of “Sweet October”, evokes the tender love between father and daughter with a needle drop sweetness of Pascua’s baby girl’s voice underneath the evocative keyboard, drum groove and horn melody textures. The third track “Kona”, with charismatic vocals by Huphrey Milondo, superimposes a timeless smoldering groove dripping with a hypnotic keyboard melody accentuated by R&B jazz infused scat stylings.
