I cannot understand why some people are attacking the bonus payment to Sergio Ermotti. Are they jealous? He delivered an outstanding performance after the emergency takeover of Credit Suisse. The board of UBS rewarded Ermotti’s successful mission with 14.4 million Swiss francs. Ermotti’s fixed salary amounts to 1,88 million. The additional 12,3 million is a mega bonus reward for his gigantic mission. In April 2023, Ermotti accepted the call of duty to Switzerland without hesitating for one second. He left his comfort zone accepting to be the CEO of UBS again, instead of relaxing at home. He did an excellent job not only for UBS but also for Switzerland. Every single Swiss franc paid to Ermotti is justified. Ermotti is a hero in this landmark event in global finance. We need more heroes like him. Thank you, Sergio. Be rich and stay rich.
