XMEN : The Return : Series 2

Professor X continues to guide the X MEN along with Cyclops leadership.
Jubilee has moved away to join a teenage mutant group called Generation X and Beast (Hank McCoy) has moved away to become a Secretary in Mutant affairs in Washington.
while both of them are gone , Bobby Drake (Iceman ) returns with a girl he meets in San Francisco called Lorna Dane ( Polaris). She studies and trains under their guidance eventually joining the XMEN team- filling Jubilees position. Lorna had only recently discovered that she can manipulate metal and control magnetism. This concerns the other XMEN esp. Prof X who believes she may be related to Magneto.
Mystique discovers Lorna's whereabouts while under a disguise, and informs Magneto that his estranged daughter has reappeared and her powers are growing like his own. Magneto then tries to persuade his daughter to join his cause, despite the advise from the XMEN esp Prof X and Bobby.
Lorna joins her fathers side - brainwashed against her new friends, and along with the devious Mystique they battle the XMEN team trying to take over the world with mutant domination. Beast guest appears in some episodes as he is fighting at congress to have both mutant and humans living along side other.
Rogue discovers a very harrowing secret with regards Mystique, and she journeys away to uncover her childhood past and reveals the terrifying cause for her ability of superstrength and flight, However Gambit isn't far behind to protect her. As Mystique tries to lure Rogue to their cause.
Cyclops and Jeans relationship bothers Wolverine, who is also missing the departed Jubilee. There grows a lot of tension between the three mutants who need to bury their differences if they are to work as a team.
While on a mission to rescue Jean and Cyclops- Storm discovers that she is now leader to a group of misfit mutants called the Morlocks, after winning a fight with their leader Callisto.
Professor X and Magneto also come to terms with their past.
