Africa has made strides in moving from aid dependency
During a media briefing in the capital today, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Regional Director for Africa, Ahunna Eziakonwa, said they have been having meetings with senior government officials, including president Hage Geingob, for the last four days on ways to achieve sustainable development goals. She said some of these goals include lifting 100 million people globally out of poverty and supporting 800 million in exercising their voting rights. She further added that Africa has made strides in moving from aid dependency to reclaiming their sovereignty by seeking economic independence. Video: Shania Lazarus
