John Deacon Throws his Bass at the Last Concert with Freddie Mercury

This is the footage of John Deacon throwing his bass at the Queen's final concert with Freddie Mercury at Knebworth.

He threw his bass after performing Radio Gaga
In an Interview about that Tour Roger Taylor said
“I think John was going through a difficult time on that tour. I think it was sort of personal reasons, mainly. And he was very volatile and in Madrid being one of them, and very thirsty. John had a little cocktail bar behind his amplifier, complete cocktail bar, actually, with mainly vodka in it. And he had his roadies to whip him up a few cocktails through the show. So by the end of the show, he was flying”.

Brian May said
“I think because of the madness in our personal life and because of the fact that we were saturated in our art, if you like. We were completely immersed in Queen at that point. It led to us being something exceptional, but in a sense, we had paid the price”.
