WILD WHEELSTANDING STRAIGHT AXLE 56~57 CHEVY GASSERS AT RT66 CLASSIC '14

Mike Bilina's '56 Chevy built in 1965 with the straight axle, engine set back, glass tilt nose , spindle mounted front magnesium american mags,(no front brakes),glass doors and trunk with nothing changed except a fuel cell to replace the beer keg gas tank and wheelie bars. Now the motor is a 496ci chevy, turbo 400 and 488 gears in an olds/pont rear end, home made ladder bars hooks pretty good for 60's technology takes on Nick Shervino's '57 Chevy, which was an original barn find of what was believed to be a former drag car. The car was in terrible shape and Nick restored it into its present glory with House of Kolor Paint, 461ci Chevy, Coan Turbo, Ford 9", 4 wheel disc brakes and straight axle with rack and pinion steering. First run Mike takes the win with a 10.79@124.05mph as Nick runs 11.22@121.19mph. In the second run Nick gets the win with a 11.91@119.53mph as Mike gets out of shape and runs 12.19@125.10mph.
