Hey y’all, welcome to the nail sanctuary. I’m Shawnee and today’s video is the second installment of my black history month series where I’m honoring black women and their nails.
Today we are honoring Florence Griffith Joyner, otherwise known as flo jo. She was an Olympic gold medalist track and field athlete. The fastest woman of all time.

While flo jo was known for outrunning her competition on the track, she was also famous for her nails.

She wore long, blinged out colorful and trendsetting nails in a sport and time where it wasn’t common. Today I honor her by recreating one of the nail sets she wore.
