Episode 28: No Grill Chicken Barbecue | Filipino Recipe | Foodie Pinoy

Hi Everyone, welcome to another episode of Foodie Pinoy. Today were going to cook a sweet and sticky no grill barbeque chicken recipe.

We will need
½ kg chicken
For the bbq marinade we will use
1/3 cup tomato catsup
1tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp sugar
6 cloves garlic
½ tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1. First, minced the garlic.
2. Then, Combine the chicken and the rest of the ingredients. Add the catsup, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, pepper and salt.
3. Mix it up until the ingredients are well blended.
4. We recommend marinating overnight for best result.
5. Were ready to cook our marinated chicken barbeque
6. We will use a pan to cook our chicken barbeque. Put a small amount of oil in the pan then add the chicken once the oil is hot enough. Pour in the marinade for extra flavor then cover and cook for 10 mins in medium heat.
7. Flip the chicken to cook the other side. Now, The skin is starting to have nice brown color similar to grilled chicken. Cook for another 10 mins to ensure that chicken is well cook from the inside.
8. After cooking the other side of the chicken, the next step is to reduce the liquid until it becomes sticky. We want the marinade to stick to our chicken. Cook in medium to high heat and stir constantly to prevent burning and until the sauce is fully reduced similar to this.
