KENT DUCHAINE ST JAMES INFIRMARY.

Kent DuChaine plays the hauntingly (no pun intended) beautiful St James Infirmary at The Last Inn, Hengoed on Thursday 26th January 2012. The Last Inn is currently being managed by Mr Anthony Whyton who has beautifully managed other such pubs with a reputation for good music and sought after by musicians as a place to play where their music will be appreciated. Kent's music was certainly appreciated here last thursday night. Extraordinary virtuosity with his steel slide guitar, Leadbessie, a National guitar, I believe, now 70 years old and which he has had for the last 35 years and is now held together with duck tape. Great stories of the old bluesman he has met and played with along the way introduce the songs; he comes over as a humble man, open hearted and humorous, whose been in the presence of greatness and knows it, but this is also a man with a mean talent and one whose obviously worked hard, and intelligently, to hone it.

I am disappointed that all these Kent DuChaine vids I have been uploading in the last week are not lip synched on you tube though they were perfectly lip synched before uploading - I have no idea why - does anyone know? I have never had this trouble before
