One thing about Germany is that it’s stacked with castles too visit and some like this here, are a lot less busy with tourists than Neuschwanstein Castle for example 🏰

Anyway this castle is …… SIGMARINGEN CASTLE

Located in south-west Germany in the county of Baden-Wurttemberg

The first castle on this site was believed to be in the Middle Ages during the 11th century. Following a fire it was rebuilt in 1893 and only the towers remain from the earlier period🔥

It’s to this day still owned by the Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen family, although they no longer live there.
You may recognise the name “Hohenzollern” from another famous German castle in the area…. HOHENZOLLERN CASTLE 🏰

For sure Germany is a great place for seeing castles and SIGMARINGEN CASTLE is well worth a day trip from Stuttgart or anywhere in Baden-Wurttemberg
