Yamaha 75hp 2 stroke outboard engine pull start

This outboard had been sitting with empty carburetors and no plugs till minutes before they attempted to start it. It's a used engine of which year I was not quite sure just yet. Just inspecting to consider purchasing it once the price was right. Under the cowl looked fairly tidy with no loose nor taped-up wires. No heavy rust, though it was used in salt water. Head didn't seem to be tampered with.
I would like to do a compression test on all the cylinders and throw a bore scope on it.
I plan on mounting this engine on a 21'long, 7' beam boat I am in the process of building (fiberglass reinforced plywood hull).
