The spirit of an Italian summer resonates throughout Superga®'s Spring/Summer 2019 advertising campaign.

The brand has enlisted long-term Ambassador, Alexa Chung as the protagonist of a series of vibrant images that fuse her effortlessly chic appeal with the authentic Italian attitude of the Superga® footwear brand.

Shot on the colourful Procida Island, a stone’s throw from the Neapolitan coast, the setting provides the ideal backdrop to the third collection developed by Superga® in collaboration with Alexa Chung.

The British designer, model and broadcaster, who launched her eponymous fashion label in 2016, is captured in different environments, creating memorable snapshots under the Mediterranean sun.

Sporting iconic ready-to-wear pieces from the ALEXACHUNG Spring/Summer 2019 collection, including denim cigarette pants worn with white cotton shirts and striped T-shirts, as well as tomboy overalls and Nineties’ slip dresses, the London-based fashion icon reveals her ironic and playful spirit in the images.

In one image Alexa can be seen perching on the rocks wearing the Alpina rubber Chelsea boots with contrast elastic, whilst in another the warm sun beams down on a traditional blue fishing boat showing satin slip-ons embellished with Superga®’s signature vulcanised rubber outsole.

The new Superga x ALEXACHUNG collection also includes low and high top sneakers crafted from satin in a colour palette of white, emerald green and mustard yellow, as well as cotton styles decorated with contrasting trimming and graphic details.

“The excellent thing about working in collaboration with Superga® for some time now is that we get to develop and flesh out stories,” Alexa Chung says. “The new season brings a fresh take on a plimsole and even a short rainproof boot. As ever, it was an incredibly inspiring and educational journey."
