This is how well Hide Glue works. It's got great holding power and it is easily repaired. Yellow glues have only been around 60 or 70 years while hide glue has been in use around 2000 years. Thats a pretty good track record for modern day usage. If you have never tried Hot Hide Glue you should give it a try, while a little more inconvient than Yellow Glues, it has the ablitiy to be re-heated and fixed instead of with yellow glues having to make an entire new part or in some cases destroying the joint completely.
