A woman in the great state of California has been accused of filing 100 fraudulent unemployment claims, including the identity of California Senator Dianne Feinstein.

At least 12 of her unemployment applications were approved, and she was able to secure $200,000 in Bank of America debit cards loaded with unemployment benefits.

U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott explained: "The U.S. The Attorney's Office is committed to the mission of combating fraud that abuses the provisions of the CARES Act.”

He continued: "We will work with every major law enforcement agency to investigate and prosecute the fraud arising out of the pandemic. This theft of taxpayer dollars intended to assist our citizens in a very difficult economic time simply will not be tolerated."

We’ve talked about the craziness of California unemployment problems before, and I have a strong feeling that this isn’t the last wild story to occur in the Golden State with more extended enhanced unemployment benefits on the way.

23 states, including my home state of Nevada are requesting additional government funding to provide unemployment benefits for millions of Americans across the country.

In fact, Nevada is reportedly out of money to pay unemployment claims, but will still be able to provide benefits with no lapses in payments.

Rosa Mendez from DETR explained: “DETR will continue to borrow funds as necessary under Title XII of the Social Security Act, similar to what was done in the last recession, to ensure eligible claimants receive their benefits without interruption.”

She continued: “Borrowing funds from the federal government in this manner is typical in times of economic recessions.”

Hopefully all states are able to access federal funding to provide the millions of unemployment claimants across America with unemployment funds.

Finally, Senator Chris Brown, no not that Chris Brown, from the great state of New Jersey, is hoping to pass legislation that would offer 8 additional weeks of emergency unemployment benefits.

Brown explained: “Our bipartisan bill will give our families two more months of hope.”

He continued: "While it would be very helpful if Congress can reach a bipartisan agreement on unemployment relief before Christmas, we could not keep Atlantic County families waiting any longer for the help they need and deserve.”

Brown’s plan would be active from December 22nd until February 27th, and could help as many as 62,000 people living in his district.

This is amazing news for my viewers in the Garden State, and I hope that other states across America can offer these emergency unemployment disaster relief funds to the millions of struggling people that desperately need these benefits.
