When we put out the word that we were starting the Second Chance Program, we had an amazing response. We had no idea that we would receive over 120 applications from people in our community who are in need of oral surgery services. We had the opportunity to meet with them over the past week and a half and hear their compelling stories. We are so thankfully to each and every applicant who opened themselves up to us and shared their story.

It made it extremely difficult for us to narrow the field and choose just one recipient to undergo this treatment and, in the end, we couldn’t choose a single person. And so, we selected two Second Chance Program recipients that we felt we could make the biggest impact for, not only by restoring their oral health and smile, but by reaching out to other community partners who could help better this patient’s life.
