Va-Va-Voom - Inspired by J. Geils Band's song Centerfold

I grew up in the 80s, which was an era of living it up, and amongst that was Playboy showcasing their lifestyle of class, culture, and beautiful Centerfolds. Later, I saw the even older Pinups from the 20s and 40s. The 40s were particularly lively and cheeky. The song Centerfold written by Seth Justman and performed by the J. Geils Band in 1981, was around nearly my whole life as I'm a 1980's model human, so I grew up with that too. It was a fun, silly song, but also endearing as it inspires a guy to reunite with a long-lost crush, and I always loved that they have the line, "I'll see you when your clothes are on".

Normally, I don't promote anything that could be deemed sexual as I don't like to obfuscate the ideals of Naturism I promote, but I'm making an exception here. I think growing up with casual nudity being accepted in major media played a big part in my idea of nudity being normal, without it having to be sexual. Unlike many people, I can see and appreciate the beauty of these models without being turned on. There really has to be an outright display of sexuality to influence me in that way.

You would also have to go back and look at older Playboy, as the images weren't blatantly sexual back then.

So, I'm sure many people will think this is all about sex, I can appreciate beauty without the hormonal influence of sexuality, and I'm sure there will be other people in the world who can too.

The song itself is meant to pay tribute to the fun and free 40s post-war vibe of living it up with beautiful women on posters and calendars. Many pinups were painted and as such were idealizations and over exaggerations of the real-life models. While I think the models were stunning enough as is, I think that display of fantasy makes the era stand out. I am really against the modern airbrushing and digital editing of women, though, because it looks too real and creates a negative mindset for so many.

I've included models from many eras in this video and even some refaced edits of my own creation.

OK, enjoy this silly fun song dedicated to those who promote fantasies and the real-life beautiful women who make those dreams a reality.
