the talk discussed the perception of a young northern lady who aspires to share ideas with a younger girl child. Hauwa Usman is a senior M & E Associate with KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation Nigeria. Her
background and experience as a Public health professional and an aid worker has informed her
mindful, strategic, human-centred contribution towards TB prevention and control and overall
health system strengthening. She is fueled by her passion for understanding and improving the
Healthcare service delivery at the grassroots level.
Her hunger for knowledge and determination to turn information into action in the field has
contributed to her most recent success being awarded the extra mile award for excellent service
delivery in the support of the implementation of USAID Funded-TB LON Project by KNCV TB
Foundation.
Doubling as a freelance writer, Hauwa believes in the power of words for effective
communication and shaping perspectives. She considers herself a ‘forever student’, eager to both
build on her academic foundations in health and Information science whilst staying in touch with
her creative side through writing. As an advocate of mindful living - she lives out her tenet
