Angel Flight mission on 3 June 2026

Fred and Tom enjoyed our Angel Flight mission,

bringing Michelle from her home in Coeur d’Alene to Seattle’s medical centers.

We had a early start leaving Spokane at 0600 to Coeur d'Alene’s StanCraft FBO.

Michelle had to wait until the FBO opened at 0630 to emplane
and get airborne to make her arrival time in Seattle by 0830. We made it by 0824—

with only light headwinds with made it even a little early

Also, Michelle had enough wiggle room to account for unexpected delays

She had an early doctor appointment at 0915.

Weather was good with only scattered showers in the Seattle area.
While approaching landing at Boeing Field, we encountered a Bald Eagle on final approach
Boeing Field’s SkyService provided excellent support for Angel Flight and we all thank them for their efforts to make our turn around uneventful.

After dropping Michelle off,
We flew to Chewelah’s airport for fuel and lunch at their golf course and Rusty Putter club house.

At the Rusty Putter, we met fellow Angel Flight command pilot Norris who was also having lunch with a group of other pilots

Tom and I had an excellent lunch, the club house provided a dog water dish for our service dogs Chewy and Oscar.

Overall and excellent mission

Michelle was really excited about having both our service dogs Chewy and Oscar along on the flight.
