Ayon kay NBI Director Melvin Matibag, walang halong bahid ng politika ang kanilang isinigawang operasyon.

Iginiit ni Defensor na wag idamay ang kanyang pamilya, kaugnay ng '18 Marines' na dating bodyguard umano ni dating House Rep. Zaldy Co na nahaharap sa maanomalyang flood control scandal.
