Maestro Giorgetto Giugiaro penned the super-slippery (0.29 Cd) bodywork incorporating themes from many Italdesign concept cars but only Subaru was daring enough to bring the sketches to life and retain the quirky window-within-a-window design theme. Beneath the futuristic skin is an all-wheel-drive four-cam flat-six driveline loosely resembling a 911 Carrera 4's, but with the engine in front. Rated at 230 horsepower, the 3.3-liter makes smooth, sonorous power.
