Ellen sat down with Eric, a former NFL player-turned-firefighter, who was diagnosed with ALS just one month after marrying his college sweetheart, Amanda. The couple talked about their emotional story, and Ellen surprised them by bringing out Eric’s crew from his fire station. Ellen’s friends from Green Dot also had a gift for the couple to help them pay for medical bills.
