IAEA Chief Urges Urgent Repairs At The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant

The head of the UN’s nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, has urged urgent and comprehensive repairs at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. A February drone strike damaged the New Safe Confinement structure built over the destroyed Reactor 4. Grossi stressed that timely restoration is essential to prevent further degradation and ensure long-term nuclear safety.
