Gearwrench vs tekton 1/4” set unboxing

Differences I noticed is the tekton set includes a 5/32 a 4.5mm and the GW does not it starts at 9/16 but in metric GW goes up to 15mm while tekton stops at 14mm. Also the GW wobble adaptor was a bit shorter than the tekton and while they both have a 6” extension the GW smaller one is 2” compared to 3” from tekton plus the driver gives tekton 3 over 2 extensions GW comes with. If I had to pick one I’d go with the tekton because I prefer the more normal sized ratchet, the case is much more tight fitting and without any sales tekton is cheaper also Iv used tektons warranty and they were quick. If the sets were the same price the main differences you would have to consider are a Palm ratchet or a driver/extension, case quality, The broaching, which ratchet design you prefer and if you would rather have a 4.5mm and also the 5/32 in your tekton set or do without those but get up to 15mm with GW. The GW has plastic hinges connecting the top on and you can just pull the top off easily so if you wanted to store one in a tool box while leaving in the set the GW would be good since it’s more compact nothing on top section and the lid easily rips off. If you take the GW top off and on it could easily wear it down since it’s just a plastic pop in. That’s everything I should of included in video but still getting used to this.

Noticed the GW 10mm short socket had chrome flaking off of it so GW has a bit of a quality control issue. Some small imperfections on some of the other sockets. (Now I can test the GW warranty which I will update here. Tektons only took maybe 3-4 business days from the day I sent a picture of the wrench)

Both made in Taiwan
