When Meg is sent to prison after accidentally running over a convict during a prison visit, she quickly finds herself out of her depth behind bars. But instead of breaking down, Meg unexpectedly adapts to prison life and even gains a tough new reputation among the inmates. For once, she feels respected — something she rarely experiences at home.

Meanwhile, back in Quahog, Peter and the rest of the family react in their usual selfish and chaotic ways, turning Meg’s incarceration into more of a bizarre inconvenience than a tragedy. As Meg embraces her hardened new identity, the Griffins begin to realize that prison might have changed her more than they expected.
