Ready by Five: Building Foundational Literacy Skills in Early Childhood

CCCF is proud to partner with CCLF to present the recording of the webinar, Ready by Five: Building Foundational Literacy Skills in Early Childhood. In this recording, you will gain an understanding of the problem and gain insights into the history and context of early literacy challenges. You will learn why ECEs are key to early literacy and the importance of effective support and discover what effective training looks like and how it can empower ECEs to confidently support children’s language and literacy development.

In addition to being led by Drs. Kaitlyn Parks and Liz Attisano from CCLF, the webinar recording includes Dr. Reuben Ford and Paul Lalonde from the Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC), presenting recommendations from the report on what it would take to ensure every child in Canada is ready by five.

This webinar was specially designed for educators and childcare administrators who want to better understand children’s literacy development and contribute to addressing Canada's literacy challenges.
