Fusion 360 - Rib Pattern

Create a series of ribs that straddles a cylindrical face, without the use of overlapping extrudes or deleting faces. How can we ensure that the patterned ribs fully extend up to the cylinder? Can this be maintained even when the cylinder changes in diameter?
