$18 Minimum Wage in Hawaii: Will Food Get More Expensive?

As of 2022, the minimum wage in Hawaii is $10.10, but there are talks to increase it to $18 an hour. While that would increase the wages for thousands of local workers, what would happen to the food prices in Hawaii? I recently read an article that stated that the food prices in Hawaii wouldn't need to be increased by a lot if the minimum wage were increased to $18 an hour. In this video, I go over the article and the studies, as well as share what I learned after asking two local businesses what would happen to their prices if the minimum wage were increased to $18 in Hawaii. Let me know what you think would happen to food prices in Hawaii in the comments below.
