Having worn my fair share of weaves and other protective styles over the past couple of years I know how difficult it can be to look after your *own* hair when protective styling. In this video I thought I'd share my top 3 tips for looking after your own hair when protective styling.
If you are able to wash your hair when protective styling, diluting your shampoo and conditioner with water is a great way to prevent product build up of those products in your hair. Be sure to rinse thoroughly too.

How do I store my scalp lotion and strand spray. Also how long do they last?
I store my scalp lotion in a cool + dry place or the fridge[ which is better] and usually use it for no longer than 2-3 weeks.
I store my strand spray in the fridge and use it within 2 weeks.
