✍️ When freedom was a dream and words were weapons — a firm man chose his pen to fight the British.

Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi (1890–1931) — the fearless journalist who founded the Hindi weekly newspaper ‘Pratap’ in 1913 — gave voice to India’s oppressed farmers, workers, and common people.

Through his writing, he inspired resistance, questioned injustice, and proved that truth itself can be revolutionary.

He was imprisoned multiple times, participated in the Non-Cooperation and Civil Disobedience Movements, and even translated Victor Hugo’s ‘Ninety-Three’ into Hindi.

In 1931, while saving lives during communal riots in Kanpur, he was fatally wounded — becoming a martyr not just of freedom, but of humanity.

🎥 This short video is a tribute to the power of journalism, truth, and courage.

🔔 Watch till the end to remember the man whose pen roared louder than any weapon — Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi.
