danger close (and incorrect) fire mission Generation Kill

in episode/part 3 of generation kill, the incompetent / "super blurr" Company commander of B company tried to call in fire mission based on wrong information that there was 100 killer RPG (enemies). Despite after being clarified by one of his Platoon Commanders that is isnt so, funny / interesting part is that after being told target point is just 200 metres away from them and anything 600m or below is danger close, besides not knowing what is Danger close, he ignored common sense .... and still insisted on doing (maybe just to show he is "in charge")... eventually there is (fortunately) no fire mission because again of his incompetence, he didnt know and didn't use correct protocol/instructions necessary for executing the fire mission; hence later part of clip (based on radio traffic,) the artillery guys clearly ignored him but proceed to give fire support for Alpha (A) company's commander's request for fire mission since Alpha commander given the correct protocol/instruction.
