For years, fans eagerly waited for a reunion announcement–searching for subtle secrets in every tweet, hoping for hints in clandestine #MCR hang out sessions, obsessing over Joe Jonas interviews and keeping their fingers crossed and the word #Return on the tips of their tongues for six agonizing years until...it happened. On October 31, 2019, a series of mysterious instagram posts suddenly popped up, suggesting the possibility of the second coming of #MyChem. Over the course of this fateful Halloween, these posts miraculously culminated in the announcement to top all announcements–My Chemical Romance have returned.

As we anxiously wait to hear “I’m Not Okay” again for the first time since 2012 when the band takes the stage on December 20, we decided to take a look back at some ridiculous MCR fan theories that actually proved to be pretty accurate.
