Hey guys! How are you doing today?

I figured it was time for some closet therapy, so I went ahead and did a shopping spree on Zara! I figured, why not create a Zara clothing try on haul video to show you all what I purchased?

Let me tell you, it is NOT easy trying to figure out what to buy online.

Now that so many people are stuck inside STILL, so many stores are closed all over North America how are we supposed to know what fits?

I am lucky that I am a frequent shopper at Zara. Because of this I already know what works with my body and their clothes. However, no matter how good you are, sometimes you want to try out a new style it may be difficult. So, you are either left visualizing or trusting the brand's ability to take REALISTIC photos and providing you with a good description. There is no doubt that Zara does showcase high-quality photos on their website, but sometimes the poses the models use does have questioning if you should make a purchase.

As much as I love their clothes and overall brand, I really don’t know how to make sense of their modeling. Zara has a problem with modeling their clothes! It’s no joke, take a minute right now and go to their website. Better yet, check out this link below:

The theory behind a model laying, facing a wall, even doing kickboxing is impractical for customers who are trying to figure out if the clothes will fit. Above all please, keep in mind that most Zara models are at least 5’8''+ in height!

Coming across a black model on Zara's page makes me so happy. Most of which have natural hair. Believe it or not, I even stay on their pictures a little longer admiring their beauty and the clothes they wear. The representation does honestly make me want to buy. I understand that Zara is a clothing company and not running a hair salon but I only pray that Zara will do a better job at representing black hairstyle.

A lot of women take pride in their hair as hair is a part of beauty. I remember that natural hair was frowned upon growing up in the black community. It wasn't until recently that we started seeing women not only wear their hair out but be proud of it. The natural hair community is growing daily. Today, the concept of natural hair is taken more seriously than ever. As a natural hair girl myself, I can tell you the work that goes into maintaining natural hair. We do braid outs, twist outs, band to boys, wash and goes, moisturize, and a lot more just to ensure that our tresses and curls are popping. There is a misconception out there that our hair is dry, brittle, unmanageable therefore should be neglected. Even as a child/teen model no one wanted to deal with my hair. I hope you can now understand how seeing the models' hair in Zara shoots had an impact on me. Perhaps it's a look that Zara was going for but there are hairstyles that better represent our natural hair. Let my sister's hard work in taking care of their hair not go in vain.

I personally love Zara and actually look up to them even for my own brand. I would like for them to evolve given that fashion brands are practically becoming a dime a dozen in the eCommerce market. With Zara recently announcing that they are closing approximately 1,200 stores, we all know that online shopping is becoming more and more of a reality.
