TURBOCHARGERS VS. NATURALLY ASPIRATED ENGINES – How do They Work? Which is Better?

In this video, I explain the functioning of a four-stroke Naturally Aspirated Engine and a Turbocharged Engine. We also touch-up upon Superchargers. After explaining the working of a Naturally Aspirated engine and a Turbocharged Engine, we talk about the different types and configurations of Turbochargers and what are the pros and cons of the turbos. We also discuss why engine manufactures prefer to turbocharge and superchargers their engines and how these forced induction engines create more BHP. I take examples of Tata’s engine the 1.2 3-cylinder engine, it has been used in the Tiago as a naturally aspirated engine and the same engine as been turbocharged in the Nexon to create 33 bhp more.
