San Antonio River Walk: Mission Reach Segment
The Mission Reach transformed an eight-mile stretch of the San Antonio River into a quality riparian woodland ecosystem, reconnecting the river to cultural and historical features. This 8-mile linear park with hiking, biking, and paddling opportunities is open daily from dawn until dusk. Portals make it easy to visit the San Antonio Missions, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas. Public art projects on the Mission Reach are funded by the San Antonio River Foundation. Please visit the San Antonio River Authority website to learn more (www.sara-tx.org).
