Silver Rips +6.4% as Gold/Silver Ratio Breaks 60 🥈 (Gold Coiling Below $5,000)

Silver led the precious metals complex this week with a +6.4% weekly gain to $80.78 — tagging $83.01 intraweek — compressing the gold/silver ratio from 62.55 to 59.79. First break below 60 in weeks and a clear rotation signal. Gold climbed +1.7% to $4,829, printing a fresh high at $4,884 and closing in on the psychological $5,000 marker. Platinum +2.7% to $2,101. Palladium +2.4% to $1,558.

Drivers: DXY slid to 6-week lows, Fed-funds futures price a 99.5% probability of a hold at the April 29–30 FOMC, and the PBoC extended its gold-buying streak to 17 consecutive months. GLD holdings climbed to ~920 tonnes.
