Engines of Amtrak - EMD SDP40F

Well, well... isn't this just like, old times?
Welcome (back) to Engines of Amtrak! This is a series where I go over the history of various different locomotives that Amtrak has put into service over the years. Today's (remade) episode is all about the EMD SDP40F. This locomotive was Amtrak's first brand new engine compared to the aging F and E units previously used. Was it able to put Amtrak on the right track for success, or would it dig America's national rail network a deeper hole?

So as you may know, a few of the EoA episodes (SDP40F, P30CH, F40PH, and Acela Express) were taken down for copyright claims regarding certain video clips used in them. Regardless of that though, Engines of Amtrak is back in business and I'll be completely remaking the episodes that were taken down on top of creating brand new episodes with locomotives not previously discussed!
