Exploring Florida Beaches has taught me so much about the snails, birds and shells that I encounter on the beach. I picked this particular day since it was negative low tide and it tends to be better for finding shells as well as the creatures that create the shells we find.

On this day we found a jasper cone, which we've never found before and a bunch of really spikey, spiny jewelboxes. My favorite days exploring florida beaches are when I find an interesting array of goodies to bring home as well as some critters to take a closer look at.

While I have learned a lot exploring Florida beaches, I have relied very heavily on a book we bought to help me identify the shells and critters I come across on the beach.
