The WD-40 it’s multiuse oil, created in 1953 by Norm Larsen, and it’s a reduction of a Water Displacement minus 40 attempts. Besides, its ingredients are unknown, and to avoid public knowledge the formula as not been patented, and this as raised many questions about its origin.

Water resistance: This oil is excellent for cleaning sporting shoes, especially when there are spots made by wet objects. But you can use it also for wáter protection, simply by spraying the oil all over the surface. This will prevent damages from liquids.

Clotheslines: Many families use exterior metal made clotheslines to dry clothes. But they oxide with the pass of time or start making noises when you move them. With this oil, you can prevent the oxide and its noises.

Animal prevention: If you have problems with squirrels or other rodents, especially with bird feeders, you can spray the places that the animals frequent with WD-40. Because of its viscosity, the animals will slip and fall, and the rodent problems will be no more. Also, it can be used on the windshield of cars before traveling to a great distance, because it will make the insects slip after they smash against the glass. It can even be used in corners of your home to prevent bees from nesting, because of its slippery effect.
Leather cleaning: Surely if you have clothes or furniture made of skin, you have encountered the difficulty of cleaning spots and keeping them in a good state. Thanks to this oil, these objects and clothes can be protected by keeping them clean and lubricated.

Zippers: One of the most amazing uses for this oil is with zippers. If sometimes the zipper stuck, and you have to make an enormous effort to keep using it, or changing it completely, a simple spray of this product over the surface can amend this problem and continue its use.
