This version of "Simple Man" was recorded live to 1" analog tape at Creampuff Studios in Nashville, TN. I think we did two takes, and chose the best one of the two lol.. Although posted in 2016, this video is receiving more attention due to the unprecedented times we're in (COVID-19)- Up 550,000 views in April 2020 alone. I'm beyond grateful for the attention and support. "Simple Man" wasn't always part of my repertoire- I was familiar with Muscle Shoals & after recording there in 2016 (just before this cover was made); being there left me feeling far more connected to the music I'd always loved. I know my version of this iconic song stems from that experience
