BETTER images with good mount BALANCE

Mount balance sounds easy, right? Simply set the telescope and the counterweights so that they are well balanced against one another. But this is not enough! For most mounts, being slightly East-Heavy makes tracking better - we'll look at why in this video!

Today, I'm comparing my Canon 200mm f2.8L (mark 1) lens against my Refracting Telescope (275mm f4.5), and see how the camera lens fares when doing astrophotography!
Note that this is just with a single sample of this lens - lens can have a lot of variability. And some lenses are generally better than others and exhibit almost none of the issues I highlight in this video (the Samyang 135mm F2 lens in particular is supposed to be excellent, and my sample of it certainly was).
