Lucy's 4th Birthday at Disney World

A super late upload of Lucy's 4 birthday at Walt Disney World and the last day of our trip, sad face.
This video comes a little late because I have been trying to be the best mama I can be. On Rhonda's 29th birthday she passed after battling an aggressive cancer she had been diagnosed with only 120 days prior. She fought a brave fight and I am dedicated to living with more love and enthusiasm for every day. Everyday is a gift and I want to celebrate them.
In this video we take on the morning with a celebration at Chef Mickey's. I can say Chef Mickey's is not my favorite character dining experience, but the buffet was nice, just not as nice as what it cost ($40/adult!) We ordered a custom cake from the Contemporary bakery. I had asked per Lucy's request to have a cake with a small world design and a white chocolate castle on top-they claimed they could not mix the two because of licensing. I settled for a $38 buttercream vanilla 6" cake. I requested the frosting to be a light purple in the lavender range, and paid for the small white chocolate castle(included in cake cost) the big one is $125! the cake was pretty good, but was about 70% frosting, I mean it was massive in the frosting department.
We returned the uneaten portion of the cake to our room, then ventured to the Magic Kingdom. There is something so special about Mickey Mouse singing Happy Birthday to Lucy, I will never forget that special moment. We love watching the Main Street USA performers, and I hope you do too! This clip of the Move It Shake It Celebrate It Parade shows how attentive and awesome the performers were wishing Lucy Happy Birthday and interacting with her on her special day. We watched a lot of Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire, but I'm just not crazy about it. Something about the time of day made it so bright out on that stage, and the sound wasn't really great, I couldn't hear what most of the characters were saying. We played at the splash mountain play area, but didn't record it. Then we finally watched the entire Festival of Fantasy, but the Dragon had no fire... Oh well still a great parade, and I think I'd rather watch it from Frontierland than anywhere else. I cannot say enough good things about Cinderella's Royal Table. The food and service were outstanding. I think the princesses may have needed a nap by the time they made it to our table, but they still did their royal best. The last and greatest joy was Lucy deciding to add a new attraction to her list of acceptable rides. I learned a valuable lesson, she thought the Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover was the Astro Orbiter, when we cleared that up we rode the people mover at her request quite a few times.
I hope you enjoy watching these videos as much as we enjoy making them. While I suspected we wouldn't make another trip in the near future, our plans have allowed for another and we look forward to sharing them.
