Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (born 2 August 1995) is an Indonesian professional badminton player currently ranked world number 1 in the men's doubles by the Badminton World Federation. He plays for PB Djarum, and has been a member of the club since 2007. He won the men's doubles titles at the All England Open in 2017 and 2018; World Superseries Finals in 2017; and at the Asian Games in 2018. He also featured in the Indonesia winning team at the Southeast Asian Games in 2015, and at the Asia Team Championships in 2018 and 2020. Together with his current partner, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, they were awarded the BWF Best Male Players of the Year for two years in a row after collecting seven Superseries titles in 2017 and eight World Tour titles in 2018.

Sukamuljo and Gideon are often referred to as "the Minions" because of their below average height and for their fast and agile playing style, jumping and bouncing just like the Minions in the film Despicable Me. BWF commentator, Gillian Clark stated that the fast play shown by Sukamuljo and Gideon have taken the men's doubles game to a new level and makes the matches exciting to watch.

Greysia Polii (born 11 August 1987) is an Indonesian badminton player specializing in doubles. Polii was a women's doubles gold medalist at the 2014 Asian Games and 2019 Southeast Asian Games.[2][3] She also won three bronze medals at the World Championships in 2015, 2018 and 2019.[4][5] Polii was a member of BWF Athletes' Commission to represent the needs and views of athletes to the BWF council and committees from 2013–2017.[6][7]

Having started her career at the Jaya Raya in Jakarta, she later was selected to join the national team in 2003.[8] Polii represented her country in 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics,[9] also featured in the Indonesian women's winning team at the 2007 Southeast Asian Games.[10] She reached a career high as world number 2 by the BWF in the women's doubles alongside Nitya Krishinda Maheswari.[11]

Polii's achievements began when she was paired with Jo Novita, winning a Grand Prix title, two silver medals at the Southeast Asian Games in 2005 and 2007, and a bronze in 2005 Asian Championships.[10] Together with Maheswari, she had collected 2 Superseries titles, 3 Grand Prix titles, a gold at the 2014 Asian Games, a silver at the 2013 Southeast Asian Games, and bronze medals at the 2015 World and 2016 Asian Championships.[8] She made a new partnership with the youngster Apriyani Rahayu in 2017. Together with Rahayu, she won her first women's doubles gold at the Southeast Asian Games in 2019, and claimed her first home soil title at the 2020 Indonesia Masters.[12]

Lee Yong-dae (Hangul: 이용대; Hanja: 李龍大; Korean pronunciation: [i.joŋ.dɛ̝]; born 11 September 1988) is a professional badminton player from South Korea who had been successful in both men's and mixed doubles. He reached world number 1 ranking with 4 different partners, Jung Jae-sung, Ko Sung-hyun and Yoo Yeon-seong in men's doubles, and Lee Hyo-jung in mixed doubles. He won a total of 43 Superseries titles, 37 in the men's doubles, the most of any doubles player in one discipline, and 6 in mixed doubles. He was ranked world number 1 in men's doubles for 117 consecutive weeks with his last partner, Yoo Yeon-seong.

After winning the 2016 Korean Superseries with Yoo, Lee announced his retirement from international badminton. He made a comeback to the international stage at the end of 2017, and started a new partnership with Kim Gi-jung in 2018.

Personal life
Lee's gold medal win at the 2008 Olympics, his first appearance at the Olympic Games, propelled him from relative obscurity to national fame.[13] He has since made several appearances on the sports-themed variety show Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education.

Lee start dating actress Byun Soo-mi in 2011 and went public with their relationship in 2012. The two met at a badminton event hosted by Byun's father. On February 8, 2017, Lee announced they were engaged and planned to have a small private wedding ceremony.[14] On April 10, 2017, their daughter Lee Ye-bin was born, and her growth was documented in the new KBS's reality show Pot Stand, as it was named after the books used to put under the hot pots. The couple decided to write a memoir of their private lives and Ye-bin's growth and development. In December 2018 however, they filed for divorce, due to "irreconcilable differences".
